Day 1: Phnom Penh - Arrival

Afternoon, Phnom Penh city tour: Visit the Victory Monument, and the National Museum, dedicated by King Sisowath in 1920. Over 5000 objects are on display including Angkorian era statues, lingas and other artifacts, most notably the legendary statue of the ‘Leper King.’. Visit the Royal Palace, situated on the site of the former Citadel, it was built by King Norodom in 1866 on the banks of the Mekong River and visit Silver Pagoda, also called the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha, it is located in the compound of the Royal Palace. Inside, its floor is laid with 5000 silver blocks. End your afternoon with the visit to the Wat Phnom Temple, symbol of the Phnom Penh capital which was built in 1434 to house the sacred relics the notorious.

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap Angkor

Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer to Phnom Penh International Airport and departure by Bangkok Airways or similar to Siem Reap. Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport and transfer to the hotel (rooms may not be ready until the afternoon).
Visit Preah Khan, built by the King Jayavarman VII, It was the centre of a substantial organization, with almost 100,000 officials and servants, visit Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool and representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake, was originally designed for medical purposes, as it is one of the many hospitals that Jayavarman VII built. It is based on the ancient Hindu belief of balance, visit temple of Ta Som , a small, classic Bayon-style monastic complex consisting of a relatively flat enclosure, face tower gopuras and cruciform interior sanctuaries much like a miniature version of Ta Prohm. Visit Prasat Kravan, east-facing brick towers containing unique bas-reliefs of Vishnu and Lakshmi rendered in brick – the only example of brick bas-reliefs in the Angkor area.

Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century). See the South Gate, big gates with an arch and surmounted by a tower, or gopuram, are the access to the city of Jayavarman VII, visit Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers) great city built in the 12th century by Jayavarmant VII which has more than 200 enormous mysterious faces. Return to Phnom Bakheng Mountain for Sunset.

Day 3: Siem Reap Departure

In the morning, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat, it is generally the first one seen. Built by Suryavaman II during the first half of the 12th century. Angkor Wat’s artistic and archaeological significance and visual impact put it in a class with the Pyramids, Machu Pichu and the Taj Mahal.
Lunch (supplement)
Afternoon, visit Ta Prohm quiet, sprawling monastic complex is only partially cleared of jungle overgrowth. Intentionally left partially unrestored, massive fig and silk-cotton trees grow from the towers and corridors offering some of the best ‘tree-in-temple’ photo opportunities.
Then, visit to “Les Artisans d’Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles” of Siem Reap and spend time at leisure at a local market (if time permits).
Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure flight to the next destination.
